8.2 - THE ELECTRONIC WARFARE


The evolution of the Electronics in the first decades of the XX century changed deeply the military philosophy, with the sophistication of the electronic warefare. The Armed Forces now had an efficient and reliable methods of communication by using several types of radio signal transmitting such as: voice, code, teletype, facsimilie and pulses. During the transmissions, those signals could be monitored or even cyphered through cryptgraphic methods giving birth of the electronic intelligence. Moreover other types of electronic weapons had appeared as: the SONAR, the RADAR, the PROXIMITY FUSE and, the RADIO NAVIGATION.
